Guest guest
---Mindy, Of course we'll have to make an exception for red wine. Although its an exceptionally long article, you'll find that this info is listed in another part of the text under the listing, Heart-Smart foods. I would think green and black tea would be permitted, although my personal choice would certainly be the decaf varieties. If I remember correctly, celestial seasonings had a chart included on some of their packages listing the percentages. Apparently, from these charts, teas have much less caffeine than any of the others mentioned. Then again, theres so many benefits from drinking tea... in terms of cancer prevention. So actually, from what I've been able to ascertain, caffeine content would be minimal in contrast to the potential benefits there. Enjoy! :-) JoAnn Guest mrsjoguest Friendsforhealthnaturally DietaryTipsForHBP http://www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/AIM.html In Gettingwell, Mindy Behymer <mindy@l...> wrote: > > > JoAnn Guest wrote: > > > > > Avoid Alcohol of any kind. Guest guest
Evening Mindy, >Come now! Not even red wine? > > 9.Avoid caffeine in sodas, coffee and chocolate. >Not even black tea? One of the wisest men I have known said that after you eat everything you need, you can eat anything you want. OF course this relates to a healthy person. Often I eat near a whole pecan pie. A few night ago, I was going to eat 3 rows of brownies across a large pan. I only ate 2 rows plus one piece. I waited about one hour to test blood sugar. The reading was 105. Often I do crazy things just to see the effect. Wayne
