Guest guest
Dear Larry, I do not understand your message, can you please elaborate on what you are trying to say. One the one hand, I am guessing that a number of people come to this NG looking for help in solving particular medical problems and have not yet begun to question Western Medicine. A good number of people I know trust doctors implicitly, think the FDA protects them, and feel the drug companies are looking to find cures for all their illnesses. Long articles about the dangers which the drug companies create, the money-grubbing aspects of the " health profession " , the dangerous chemicals which have been OK'd by the FDA, etc., are (in my opinion) real necessary to keep putting out there to reach new people who (in all likelihood) are not gonna read the archives. On the other hand, those who pay to read their e-mail (internet cafe, ISP which charges by the minute or bandwidth), those with slow connections, and those who just don't want their mailbox filled every day may well not like to see many many looong posts every day. I have a suggestion. When I send health info on to my friends (who may or may not be interested in reading the whole thing), I do the following: After reading the long web article, I excerpt 2 or 3 paragraphs meant to grab the interest of the reader, then I write a short introduction saying what the article relates to & why I think it is important. Then I send my intro plus the excerpts plus the URL for the rest of the article off to my friends. I have no idea if Frank or others who send in long posts would want to do the work needed to edit & comment on each long article they want to post, but it is the only way I know of which speaks to both concerns I outlined above. Alobar PS Counter to my above suggestion, I also do see a good reason for posting entire articles. In going back thru my old saved e-mails, I often find that URLs no longer work. So simply giving brief quotes followed by the URL seems to have serious negative long-term consequences for those of us who save our posts for future reference. Guest guest
Dear Larry, Gee, I thought that was what we had done here. Formed our own group for our choice in health care etc. I have a feeling that you might have something in mind, but keep going around the bush for your own reasons. I thought that you were opposed to wasting space in group messages. Tell us about that prosperity part too, OK.? Guest guest
Dear Group, Sorry, but Larry wont be answering. He had to leave quite suddenly. Seems he had this scheme to get 3 people and they get three people and they recruit 3 people. He was wrong about the group and being able to post anything here. There have now been a total of 86 people (including Larry) who have had to leave. They don't care that the rules say No spam, no commercial posting and no MLM.
