Guest guest
>>>>>>>>> I also have both VitaMix & Champion machines. Juice from Champion spikes my blood glucose levels. Slurping the fruits or veggies from the VitaMix do not spike my blood sugar levels. Takes getting used to. I call by drinks affectionately " fruit goop " and " veggie sludge " . Use of ice cubes or some frozen berries keeps the mixture quite cold during the juicing process. And clean-up is practically instantaneous! Just turn it on with water & some dishwasher soap & whirrr it clean in under a minute. hen a quick rinse under the water faucet & let dry. Alobar>>>>>>>> I have Vita Mix and several juice Doctor types from Garage Sales. They are hard to clean and I abhor throwing away all that fiber so I don't use them much. I do not have a blood sugar meter. Now Dr. Mercola is suggesting the Omega: A very low speed juicer at about $250. Any comments? Lorenzo --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. The exact opposite is true of the VitaMix. Alobar
Guest guest
I use a VitaMix to mush up my wheatgrass and veggies, then I use a Norwalk machine to press out the juice from the pulp. I end up with bone-dry pulp that I put in the compost bin, and juice that isn't " goopy " . I'm not concerned about throwing out the fiber because I believe the " masticator " type of machine breaks up the fibers pretty good. Anyway, that's how I like my juice. I also have a Juiceman that I like, it's a little bit of a pain to clean but it really only takes a few minutes. I got a small brush to use on the screen part so it goes quickly. Plus I use the Vitamix to grind corn for polenta, wheat for bread (it kneads it too) and other things.
