Guest guest
Martha, I have a client who went through a traumatic birth that ended in a c-section. The incision we believe may have brought up old issues of abuse as well. Do you think trauma life would be a good oil for her to try? Guest guest
Hi Sonya; I shouldn't be on, it is very late (shhh). Yes, if you have that blend it would be very good, in general I find eoils better at this time than homeopathics due to the need for more physical transition support. I would also definitely bring out my SARA blend, designed for Sexual And/or Ritual Abuse. And Valor blend would be also top of my list. I'd be considering also of course some ashwaghandha, bhrami, and other complementary herbs. I don't know at this hour what else .... maybe one of the vaidyas on the group will be able to add here. I'm sure you are doing many good things for her. TAke care not to do too much in way of massage on her too soon, unless she is craving it, and then extra gentle/soothing. If you remember, our trainng says wait 10 days from Maharishi Ayurveda, and Dr. Shrestha says sooner is ok under specific circumstances and care to avoid incision area. I had a very interesting case recently, not perinatal, just a friend who was very frightened by needing inguinal surgery, a fireman/outdoor/very handsome strong and healthy he thought kinda guy. But so freaked out, he didn't know who to call, but trusted me as a long term meditator and knew this work. I used many essential oils on him, including the very expensive helichrysum and Trauma Life. He loved them all and made a totally remarkable turnaround recovery. He he needed a massage, he knew what he needed, even though when I consulted with an MD I was very much cautioned. WHen I gently applied the eoils on his belly area, he gasped emotionally and then said later, that was the first time in some time anyone had touched that area without it being traumatic. He was amazed what he experienced. Helichrysum, lavender, several of them are very good to heal the physical tissues and reduce risk of infection as well as pain. Of course I must state here, that this experience and support I would only give or expect from organic essential oils, due to both processing and to the concentration of petrochemical toxins. She is good hands, with your postpartum dietary, massage, counseling, and other skills - I'm sure she knows it? I'm offline now for real, for a week.
