Hi All;

Forgive our inside talk for those not familiar, Chyvan prash is an

ancient ayurvedic rejuvenative formula, when good quality suitable for

perinatal use. Various recipes make for different metabolic and

system emphyses, for instance the Maharishi Ayurveda Amrit kalash

especially good for heart (most formulas dont seem to have the herb

Arjuna in formula), all are said to be good for everyone/age, most

health situations. All are respiratory rejuvanative tonics also with

long pepper- pippali. Good tasting to most, good daily tonic for

children etc. High in vitamin C when properly prepared (low temp for

the amalaki portion) and it is important those versions with honey do

not cook the honey. This is simplified discussion of course.

I received an off forum reply from the Himalayan herb lady with much

more info on their quality and testing, good to hear. She says there

are only 3 or 4 reliable quality herb companies in India, with heavy

metal and pesticide residue testing. This of course would be in ref

to the big ones, certainly small herbalists some may be impeccably

concerned with quality, many are wildcrafted, but how to tell!???

Ayushakti, Banyan, Himalayan, Maharishi Ayurveda, any others to add to

the list, readers, please share = for reliable tested quality

ayurvedic herbs? Thanks!

Martha
