Guest guest
Hi Janel; Unfortunately, her link is inactive now. She must be in the data analaysis stage of her study. This is the study I referred to, so carefully done asking many questions related to influence of the birth practices on depression. Ayurveda gives interesting analysis the doshic effects of each practice, and how that contributes to the physiologic and mood imbalances. > http://dunamascomm.com/main.php3?primNavIndex=0 & mainURL=%2Fpages% > 2F1891716 I can only summarize, tht is another article, but increases mostly to vata from most birth practices, add to the already high vata natural postpartum conditions. Commonly known list to ayurvedic students in excess include blues, anxiety, spaciness, forgetfulness, constipation, insomnia, irregular appetite/hunger/thirst, ungroundedness, fearfulness, doubt, self esteem, depression, obsessive/compulsive, psychosis, and others. The allopathic medication side effects often to my understanding tend to also increase pitta symptoms of irritability, impatience, frustration, anger, hatred, and those extremes including suicidal thoughts and tendencies.
