Guest guest
Hi Lexie, and All - A note to those who may not know, there is a simple jyotish astrology method of determining ideal lifetime-nourishing sound/s with which to begin the newborn's first name; I believe Lexie can do this ...? Lex, lease feel free to share any details what someone wanting this would need to know - timing, cost, certainly now they can contact you. Do you also do fertility counseling from Jyotish? I believe Uma said you had helped her with some information. Warmly; Ysha
Guest guest
Hello all, Thank you, Ysha, for mentioning this. Yes, Jyotish (Vedic Astrology, a sister-science to Ayurveda), is wonderful for all of us for so many reasons... Regarding the naming of a child: traditionally, the sound that is connected to the baby's moon placement is used. In Jyotish, we not only have the 12 Zodiac signs (Aries through Pisces), but we have the 27 " Nakshatras " (or " Lunar Mansions " ), and it is here where we find the sounds (in addition to deities, planets, gunas, VPK...). For example, I was born with my moon in Pisces (the Zodiac sign), but my Nakshatra is in " Revati " (16'40-30'00 Pisces). The bija sounds connected with Revati are " de, do, chaa, chee " . The basic idea is that these sounds - these vibrations - are more aligned with our personal vibration. So when someone calls our name, we recognize it more clearly as " me " - that it resonates or " stikes a cord " in us so to speak. If we were not named according to our Nakshatra sound, then choosing a spiritual name or using the nakshatra sound in yoga asanas is also helpful in re-attuning oneself. Regarding fertility charts: my mentor, Betheyla, was the one who helped Uma with the fertility times, but she has taught me the method as well. The basic idea here is that you are most fertile (regardless of ovulation dates) when the moon and sun are in the same degrees they were in when you were born. I do not have the computer program yet to determine this, but I have done it by hand (it's not that hard, but the program makes it much uch faster!). You would also look at the current transits and dasha sequences for the parents to make sure the timing is appropriate for pregnancy and birth. I know some astrologers are reluctant to do newborn's charts, but I feel it is quite valuable, and have done all the charts of my friends' babies. It's very exciting to watch the chart unfold as they grow! It has also helped to take some of the " mystery " out of some of the things the babies are experiencing. We can see very clearly areas of strength to support and challenge spots to be aware of, as well as possible health inclinations and ways to help alleviate any imbalance. As I mentioned before, Ayurveda and Jyotish are sister- sciences so they were studied together. We are able to determine one's Prakruti and Vikruti from the chart, as well as areas to watch for health-wise. I am fairly new to the Ayurvedic Astrology and do more basic information there - although it is still quite helpful, accurate and very empowering. If you are interested in more in depth medical readings, I know of a few talented astrologers who are quite gifted with medical astrology and would be happy to pass on their info. Since Ysha mentioned it, my contact information is: www.lexneon.com -- you can go to the Vedic Astrology link for what is needed for a reading. In addition to the " normal " chart reading, I do a special reading to determine the 4 main life motivators: one's dharma (purpose), artha (money, necessities), kama (desires) and moksha (spiritual liberation). I feel this reading really cuts to the core of the chart and helps us to understand how exactly these are playing out within our charts. This part of the reading is done using the Nakshatras, so again, we can see how valuable they are... Thank you for your time! And thank you, Ysha, for bringing up the benefits of Jyotish! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me -- I'm happy to talk and answer any questions you may have Have a great day!
