Halloween sugar alternative heads up

Just noting this news again - THis may be a USA figure. It is true

that levels of white sugar (which is processed over charred beef

bones, most vegetarians don't know this) along with cheap/transfatty

acid fried oils in sweets consumed in India, is creating similar

health problems to the US, with high rates of diabetes, other blood

sugar swings, obesity, and yes, compounding stress levels (a much

lower consumpton of processed sugar still holds cortisol levels at a

high for most of the day according to Dr. G. Young).

Kids consume an average 29 teaspoons of added refined sugar — each

day. Every year, teenagers eat 93 pounds of refined sugar on average.

And I'm afraid this amount has only continued to grow since these

figures were researched. (Dr. Mercola).

Let's plan ahead for options to the extremes on holidays that push

this average up so high, and cultivate so much ill health.

Namaste,

Ysha

Alternatives we use in our family include letting the children experience in the

trick or treating culture here in america, but then trading the candy they

gather for money, healthy treats or a toy...so far so good, it works!  We also

let them have a couple peices of their candy the night of gathering, but that's

it.

Additionally to consider is the contaminated milk coming from China and it's

presence in some candy, known or unknown.
