Guest guest
Hello All, Some new names some old for me....Found out about the list from another, and looking forward to the learn. My name is Lynn in my 50's with a 15 and 10 year old. (The 15 y/o is working my last nerver right now, got to love him!) BTW,most of the ADHD meds are stimulants, which work in a somewhat opposite fashion, settle them down and allow focus, so Melissa doesn't surprise me as a potential opportunity for them. I am a nurse Emergency & Trauma medicine are my love/specialty, but working as a school nurse right now so I can stand on the 15 y/o. He hates it, I'm at his school! Boy oh boy I thought htere was drama at a Level 1 Trauma Center, ain't nothing comapred to a high school! (Hand on forehead, wilting to the ground) I have been for years an organic gardener, trained by the original Whole Earth Catalogue folks, my parents, who were trained by their parents! I have never had colored toilet paper, or paper towels in my house, used to hurt me in the '70's when everyone had TP to match their bathrooms but us. I have since gotten over it! Lots of other stuff too, but that's for another post. My kids really want me to take the THINK sign off the trash can. I started learning about scents and oils from my greek grandmother...I used to lay in her garden as a child to chill. I have really expanded my knowledge base over the past 15 or so years...funny was totally in to clinical medicine, and started listening to all the LOL that came in to the ED that hadn't seen a Doc in 50 years. Every one used " Home remedies " passed down from grandma. For the history buffs, alot of these folks were children of slaves, I'm from St. Louis, Mo. These " home remedies " came from way back. I figure anyone who hasn't seen a Doc in 50 years, has never been vaccinated, and has never been " sic enuf to pay somone to help me, outside the famly " must know something. So that's where I got started, then that charming 15 y/o developed a spinal tumor at 18 mos, and they wanted to do way to much to that little body. I got the docs doing research with me on alternative medicine, and here I am. BTW I have Myrtle, and I have lemon, but not the Lemon Myrtle...so I'll do one and the the other! Sincerely, and excited about this list Lynn Weaver
