Guest guest
Hi, I have 5 of these...if it's what I think you are talking about! LOL!! Mine is called a 'fountain misters'. You set this small silver thing with 12 lights on it (mine has 12 lights, some have 6) , in a pretty bowl of water.....( and in the middle of this silver thing is a white or gold 'mister' which causes a nice thick white cloud of mist.) Just being sure were talking about the same thing. I have these placed in my entryway, kitchen, livingroom, hallway, and bedroom. I use it all the time with a drop of essential oils to permeate the room. Anyhow, my lights change colors...going from blue, red, yellow...very pretty light show! I did have one where the blue lights only came on...and they would go off and on periodically. I knew they weren't working right because I compared them to my other ones. Funny thing is...when I lifted it out of the water, all the lights came on clear, but when I set it back in the water, they weren't working properly...just very 'weak'. I ended up replacing it with another one. Also, I have to make sure mine are all plugged into the wall outlet itself, and not into an extension cord...I had a set just stop working on me...the power plug (black transformer) got really hot and the unit stopped working...and it was only 2 days old. So, now I make sure I never plug it into an extension cord...just the wall outlet itself. How long have you had your mister? They are so very pretty aren't they? I don't know If I can attach pictures to this e-mail, or I would send a picture of the ones I have. I love them! - Sue Green
Guest guest
So, I'm curious...what were you all saying about those misters?? LOL! I'd love to read those messages. I'm hoping these are good for using essential oils in.....I always wondered how these misters compare to a 'nebulizer' unit that are for sale on some aromatherapy sites. - Sue Green DecemberRoses ATFE2 Friday, March 07, 2008 2:17 AM [ATFE2] Aromatherapy Humidifier Thingy Y'all remember we were talking about those ultrasonic aromatherapy humidifier thingies with the cool blue light? Well, I got one. Now my question is, for those of you who have one, is it normail for it to go on and off? The light goes off and everything then it comes back on for about 30 to 40 minutes, then back off, etc. Just want to make sure it is working properly. :-) I followed the directions and made sure there was not too much or too little water, etc. Thanks, Tracy ------------------------- Designer at Scrapbook-Bytes http://www.takeapick.com/2IH *Some people only dream of angels; we held one in our arms.* Remembering Jacob March 8 - 9, 1996 Our Angel: http://sids-network.org/fp/jacob.htm Version: 7.5.516 / Virus Database: 269.21.6/1317 - Release 3/7/2008 8:15 AM

Mine just started doing that the last time I used it and it had never done that before. I would definitely call about it if you can. (I've had mine a few years now, FWIW.) Guest guest
hey Tracy Unless yours has gone whacky (some of them do) the ultrasonic atomizer has 5 settings, depending on the bars that are lit up on the control panel: so the first 2 stay on continuously until 2 hours have passed or the water runs out; the 3, 4 and 5th bar make it come on and off at different increments (lights go out, it stops running but is still on). So you set that with the button on the right (left button is to turn on). I suspect it is on the 5th bar if its on for 30 min, then rests for 15. If you want it on all the time push button back to first bar.
