Guest guest
Last words here from me, again with apologies. Nowhere did I claim to NOT have contacted the person Anya refers to. I did contact the person who received the email I quoted in my blogpost to ask them to forward it to me so that it could be included as evidence to expose DoTERRA. The person wrote me back and forwarded the email. I never suggested or wrote that I did NOT contact them. Nothing was taken from the NP list, all of this was entirely between the individual and I. One of my customers who had asked me about this company brought the issue to my attention, saying that he had seen a discussion on a list. I did not know what list, which was entirely irrelevant. I asked if he would put me in touch with the person he was referring to and he did. Following is my email request to the person who was the recipient of direct and potential fraud by DoTERRA, which was evidentiary for my blogpost. If one examines the blogpost, the email referenced is shown as a forwarded email, with the original posters clickable email address shown to be at the DoTERRA corporation, further evidence for the blogpost that the claim was directly traceable to their headquarters. I removed the recipient's name to protect their privacy. This was good journalism and entirely ethical. Nothing nefarious, no thievery. Anya, again has completely misread my posts here that were intended to suggest a little introspection on her part. I'm not sure how deep she really wants to dig herself in. There was no plagerism. The original author of the words in question is someone at DoTERRA writing text intended as a marketing ploy. Is Anya pleading on their behalf? Who are you defending from this imagined plagerism, Anya? Now can we all just plork? He said this was their email to you. I believe he saw a post to a . <partial quote of DoTERRA claims> removed I and many other reputable essential oil companies have been trying to provide factual information about essential oils for 20 years and have battled the misinformation coming from unscrupulous sellers during that long period. I am doing a blog report about the seal that DoTERRA have trademarked and are misrepresenting as being certification from the FDA. Would you be willing to forward me the email from them so that I can reference their response? DoTERRA is a multi-level marketing company and it is possible that one of their distributors has mis-used or misrepresented the mark, however, I know no other reason for DoTERRA to register this word mark and seal, other than to mislead customers into thinking that it is an 'official' seal of approval from the FDA or other independent certifying body. FYI, there are no FDA approved essential oils, other than the G.R.A.S. designation, which is determined by the scientists in the food industry after diligent research to determine the safety of such ingredients as foods, and the limits of percentages that are allowable. There are variable 'qualities' that make an essential suitable for aromatherapy, but there is no official government certification for this at this time. Thank you for your kind consideration.
