WOW the AUSSIES win the first responder award, we heard back from an Australian

Major for the first feedback on our efforts.

Here is his email (with permission and name removed of course!)-just so you all

know we are serving ALL troops, not just our own from USA; Jim has access to

NATO troops from over 50 countries besides ours.....and he is quite enjoying

strolling his suupplies through undiscovered parts of Camp Phoenix and handing

out stuff, meeting lots of soldiers he wouldn't have met. (and this means that

even if you don't live in the USA know we are taking care of your troops too).

" " Dear ladies,

By way of introduction, my name is Major *************, and I am currently

serving in support of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan

with Jim. I was taken a back by your organisations generosity and consideration

with the care package of aromatherapy goods that you have sent to the forces.

Your aromatherapy items were received in the most positive manner here. As you

can imagine we live in quite confined living quarters with limited to no

ventilation. Now I have the pleasure of walking into my sleeping space with a

scent I feel more relaxed in and I am certainly no longer confronted with the

musty smell of Afghanistan.

I have made use of the scented air spray and germ spray consistently in my room

to rid it of bad odors and to clean my living area to remain germ free and

healthy. Along with being more relaxed the scents also generally remind me of

the normalcy of home. With the flu season now upon us I am aware that your

products have also brought some relief to my mates affected with sinus

congestion.

Jim has done a great job explaining to people about our organisation and

distributing the items in the care pack.

Just so you are aware of who your care packages are reaching, I am actually an

Australian from Darwin in the Northern Territory. I understand that you have

visited Australia Sylla, and I can only hope that you were treated with the same

friendliness that your countrymen have treated me both here and from people like

yourselves back in the States.

With my thanks, yours sincerely

Sylla, I don't know about the rest of the companies who donate, but we at

Samara Botane feel that the gratitude expressed here is the best

Thanksgiving gift we can get. With all that is wrong with the world, and

all who are suffering, to know that we are making some small difference

swells our hearts. I am grateful to you, dear one, and Geraldine who have

tirelessly kept this effort afloat, and I am glad to do anything I can to

help. Raising a toast to UAE and all our combined efforts at my

Thanksgiving table this Thursday.

Be Well,

Marcia Elston, Samara Botane/Nature Intelligence

One more thing, Syl. Has the Major given permission to use his letter

broadly to promote UAE? IOW, can everyone quote it in a blogpost or flyer?

Might be a good time to raise additional money if people were encouraged to

do this.

Thanks for asking Marcia. He said: " I am more than happy for you to quote any of

my comments. Anything to help. "

so its OK but I have lots more comments that Jim is compiling for me with some

photos we can share, which will be more comprehensive (any day now) AND we will

issue the official PR shortly

or just go ahead and do what you think! I dont mind anyone sharing anything I

put on here about UAE! I count on it. But I know how you feel, I was so excited

yesterday, I had to share this soon as I got it!!....it is funny that after he

sent the email, and I replied right away, Jim walked in the office right as he

was reading my return email and took his pic and sent me, amazing technology and

internet, seeing soldiers across the world!

YES Marge!! pretty sure because yours was the first to go direct, after some

misc pkgs of ours (with very few sprays, no germ spray....) , so it sounds like

what the Major is describing is your very own products!! and you have permission

to share his words.

Pretty sure its what the General got too **who Jim said he was " so impressed he

would fly a flag over Phoenix and send to us " !!! if this happens, we will share

it with all suppliers), so the timing was right.

We will have a pic of guys using their inhalers coming shortly along with some

of their words we can post!! very exciting!!

HOpe you are feeling back to normal now!!

love

Syl
