" There is no clear evidence that Tamiflu prevents complications in

people with flu, an analysis suggests.

While studies have shown the antiviral can cut the length of time

people have symptoms by about a day, no real evidence has emerged that

it prevents conditions like pneumonia, researchers said. "

Imagine the outrage if this were about claims for EO's that Government

had spent some £500 million on (UK ONLY not WW)....... How DO they get

away with it???

I thought it was to lessen the symptoms of the flu, not prevent complications.

My son was on it, came home from college with confirmed H1N1 a few weeks ago.

He ended up with pneumonia in both lungs. He got over the actual flu pretty

quickly, but had 103 fever for days which was why we ended up getting a chest

x-ray done. None of us got sick, I am a firm believer that if your constitution

is strong you are less likely to catch things...and he definately was worn out

from very, very late nights in the studio working on his college projects. Sue
