Guest guest
Thought I would pass this on, since it is that time of year. Dogs that are fed RED meat, whether table scraps,or in thier dog food, are more prone to have major skin problems, specially during "flea" season. Your pure breds are more prone to it. Buy dog food with NO red meat......and do not feed them table scraps. Worming them on a regular basis will also help fight fleas. An allergic reaction to flea bites consist of obssesive, constant chewing themsleves, hairless blotches on their bodies<vets will catagorize as HOT spots>. Bathing a dog with flea chemical shampoos will irritate any alredy present wounds. If you must bathe the animal, use dishsoap<joy preferably>. For some reason dishsoap freezes the fleas<suffocates them>. cntrygal19612002
Guest guest
Thats interesting as we were feeding our cats mainly fish and they didn't have fleas for months...we have started to feed them on meat, and they have come back...I hadn't put the two together..thanks for that!
