Guest guest
My naturopath recommended it to us for my daughter with dyspraxia/hypotonia. We used it for about 5 months, and saw no difference. I've talked to others with the same experience, using it for autism. However, there are others that do say they see good results, I just don't know them personally. I researched the product as best I could before trying it, and could not find one bad thing about it, except that it costs $100/jar, which is way expensive. Recently I saw someone mention something about too much being tough on the liver or kidneys...but again, I never saw that in my reading/researching the product, so it's just hearsay. -Hilary , " Don " <popkorn@a...> wrote: > > What is the group's experience with Mannatech products? Guest guest
Thanks for the reply. Now after more than ten years of experience there are some pretty enlightening and compelling data coming from the use of glyconutrients. Hilary, I believe we have spoken before about your daughters experience with glyconutrients, but I would be curious as to details about her challenges, how long she had had them and the exact course of products you used. In addition to the endless and sometimes overwhelming science and data that is streaming about glyconutrients, glycobiology, glycomics, etc. (see the HON award winning site www.glycoscience.org) there is some really good information coming out about the difference between success and the perceived lack of it after "trying" the products for awhile. First, it takes time and a fair amount of diligence to understand why some report great, even life saving results while others report that it didn't work. Without a long explaination, different cells in the body live & die, function and replicate at very differnet rates. While some cells are replaced daily others take several years. Our bodies seem to have their own set of priorities and timelines in tasks to be accomplished also. There are a rapidly growing number of reports of people who were not getting the reults they were after that simply doubled, tripled, quadrupled the amount of glyconutrient they were taking and/or in some cases just stayed with the product for several years simply because of their basic understanding and belief in the science and eventually got the results (whether they expected it or not). I am NOT suggesting any guarantee of any results, rather pointing out a growing number of experiences where increased quantity and time let the product do what it is supposed to. It is certainly hard to accept that some people get results in days or even less and others may take months or even years but it is the experience many people. As to tough on kidney and liver, I have never heard of this. However, quite often when people start using the products they experience a cleansing or detox effect that can be perceived as a bad reaction if not understood. there are articles written by noted MD's on this. When one understands what glyconutrients do in the body it would be pretty hard make the case that they caused damaged, on the contrary they often help the body protect such organs especially during harsh pharmaceutical or chemotherapy treatments. I do not doubt that someone has reported such but not likely that it was substantiated. There have been reports of people, even children taking upto a years supply in a relatively short period of time, in some cases in a single day with absolutely NO harmful effects. Glyconutrients are specialized sugars found in safe food sources and are believed to be non-toxic in ANY QUANTITY! Expensive? Far less than most modern drugs, but because we are not shielded by this cost with health insurance we have to bear the brunt of our own health & wellness if we venture outside of toxic pharmaceutical drugs...but that's for another discussion. For our purposes here: it does seem expensive on the surface, which is why our relatively new "FREE Wellness for Life" program has been so successful.(www.FreeWellnessForLife.US) It addresses the two biggest challenges: results/retention and cost. In less than a year it turned these two challenges around from a 15% retention rate to 98.3%! In other words it changes people from the perspective of "I tried it, it was too expensive or it didn't work" to "I am doing so much better now and I am getting my products FREE for life!" As many of you have also experienced, life is largley directed by your perspective, beliefs and expectations. Yes, after investigating and experiencing first hand what these products DO for me and hundreds of thousands of others, I chose to become an associate of the company. What a great way to build a career, by helping others regain and protect true wellness...for FREE!! Complete due diligence at: www.glyco.US Blessings and wellness to you all!
