Michael, I sure have found your posts interesting to say the least. The fact that ADHD is not a disease , I believe that also. They wanted to put my son (he was 10 at the time) on drugs and have a psch check him out. we would not allow it. A few good spankings helped tremendously! He is in High School and way beyond his class level, loves to read and wants to be in the Military Academy. He is 14 now and on his way to having a pilots license. By the Way, I pulled him out of Public School in 7th grade. He also had a full time job this summer. Sounds like an over achiever to me not ADHD. Patty

Another note on this ADHD (made up term by the Psychologists to sell drugs)

My son is very gifted, and I pulled him out of public school at a very early age. He is not one to "sit still" and as it turns out he is a wonderful drummer. He plays drums like you would not believe, however, everywhere we go he is constantly tapping on things. Standing in line at the store he will be beating out rhythms on the counter. Drives me crazy sometimes, but you could imagine what would happen to a kid like this in "public school"

Have you ever seen the list of "symptoms" of ADHD and tell me that each and every one of us do these things some of the time.

This is sure heartwarming. Thanks for sharing it!

Much of what is in psychology is stuff that people made up and then tried to

get others to apply. The whole thing about never spanking a child is a case

in point. Lots of doctrine was made up on that, but very little solid

research was ever done. Besides, it is almost impossible to assess certain

characteristics of people, such as ability to achieve and overall moral

uprightness.

Many of the kids diagnosed with ADHD are extremely intelligent and extremely

bored with school. They are often not allowed to pursue any subjects of

interest, and if they were allowed, they would come up with extraordinary

achievements. John Holt wrote a lot about this back in the 60s and 70s.
