Guest guest
So if any topic other than herbs would help someone and their problem/disease, we shouldn't mention it (ie. diet, homeopathy, vitamins/minerals or any othersupplements, stress reduction, any form of alternative testing, flushes, etc., etc., etc.); if an herb won't cure them, then let them go elsewhere, or suffer/die, huh?????? I agree that we should keep to the topic as a whole, and not be using it as a classified ad section, or a debate on which religion (or lack thereof) holds the most merit, but if we are limited 100% to just talking herbs, and NOTHING else, there may be the difference between helping to not only gain someone's trust in alternatives, but perhaps save a (quality of, if not a literal) life! Is this like the differnce between punishment and discipline; discipline is as I emphasize, punishment is as you DEMAND! Lighten-up, and let's have a little less chaos, w/o resulting to a totalitarian dictatorship! Steve ----------------------------- This list is NOT alternative remedies, it's HERBAL remedies. Guest guest
That is why I said that we should stay more along the line of the intended purpose of this group, but if someone asks, why is ADD so commonplace, and how do they get their kid off of Ritalin, I will mention (hopefully without causing a tangical misdirection to start), that discipline, quality time, and proper prenting, along with proper diet, and whatever herbs (if applicable) will probably work, and urge everyone else to do the same (w/o going tangical of course), but herbs are our primary, and foremost focal point, but cannot always be our ONLY point if we are to try to help people. Steve --------------------------- How does discipline vs punishment have ANYTHING to do with an herbal list, especially when discussing quotes of the bible come in? There are TONS of lists out there for bible thumping and for discussing BEATING your children because it is " good " for them. Yeah right, it just makes them FEAR you. Is what I'm saying here helping anyone? Of course not. But I will say it as long as others say their things and I prefer EVERYONE go to the appropriate lists for those things That's why there are tons of different topics on - they all don't have to cover everything. --- Steve <bigbird3969 wrote: > So if any topic other than herbs would help someone > and their problem/disease, we shouldn't mention it > (ie. diet, homeopathy, vitamins/minerals or any > othersupplements, stress reduction, any form of > alternative testing, flushes, etc., etc., etc.); if > an herb won't cure them, then let them go elsewhere, > or suffer/die, huh?????? > > I agree that we should keep to the topic as a whole, > and not be using it as a classified ad section, or a > debate on which religion (or lack thereof) holds the > most merit, but if we are limited 100% to just > talking herbs, and NOTHING else, there may be the > difference between helping to not only gain > someone's trust in alternatives, but perhaps save a > (quality of, if not a literal) life! > > Is this like the differnce between punishment and > discipline; discipline is as I emphasize, punishment > is as you DEMAND! > > Lighten-up, and let's have a little less chaos, w/o > resulting to a totalitarian dictatorship! > > Steve > ----------------------------- > This list is NOT alternative remedies, it's HERBAL > remedies. > > > Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im. Guest guest
Dear LA, You're referrence to "Bible Thumping" comes across as derogatory of certain Christian group practices and is out of line in this group which tolerates all religious beliefs without exception. In your previous post you said, " We could go on for months about bible quotes which you have a skewed understanding of", and even though Jean may have bent the "Religious Dogma" rule a little (she was trying to make a philosophical point), your response is "flaming" which is not allowed whatsoever on HR. The prime direction of this list is towards Herbal Remedies and healing using such, but it is more than just that. It is a Naturopathic list which covers healing from all angles including the Spiritual, the Mental and the Physical. The original thread started off handling a so called "mental" problem and as such is not OT (off topic). Furthermore, once a thread has been originated which is ON topic, the direction that thread takes can go into various avenues and we have not been too stringent about this direction especially if it is a topic which interests most of the members. This seems to be the case here. This is all covered in the list policies which I suggest you read again. Do not do the above again. I won't warn you a second time.
