No way is sea water good for the kidneys. In fact that is how people die at

sea if they are marooned without fresh water supplies. Eventually thirst

will drive them to try sea water, and their kidneys will shut down from all

the salt. It is a very agonizing death. This has been historically

documented all the way back to ancient Greek writings.

The body can handle a lot of salt, but sea water has more than the body can

handle. In general people with kidney problems are advised to avoid salt to

at least some extent.
