Guest guest
Hi Marit... Seems I am overdue in replying to your first reply to me . Let's start with the first e-mail I have here..... You mentioned your boyfriend still uses perfume from time to time when out with other friends. I DO remember my "other" life.. so when I say something now that might come off harsh I don't really mean it to be that way.. just have learned you can't cheat the disease. As much as your boyfriend may like to use it.. he brings the scents home to you on his clothes.. and on himself.... coming out of his pours. If you share closets.. he's now also contaminated your clothes. (Not to mention you ) What concerns me is it will catch up...since you're already chemically sensitive. Can you persuade him to lay off the fragrances? My family do understand that I react on chemical stuff. Not that they remember I cant tolerate perfumes, but, but...they dont use it much. My boyfriend do understand, so he dont use perfumes at home (we live together). But he do still have this neeeeeeed to use perfume when he go out and visit someone or something like that....luckily enough it doesnt happen often We like to be at home most of time, hehe... About herbs and other remedies: I bought green clay powder today. To have in water and drink it. Have heard it is sooo good for digest system and for detoxifying...so I will try it for awhile. It will be exiting to see what happens And now combining the other e-mail. Thanks for another mail about stuff I want to know about, *smile*... You're welcome!!!..and thank you for such welcoming e-mails. I don't know much about the green clay. I did read some info about it a while back.. but would have to look it up.. again I just don't remember. I told last time I would try green clay (bentonite). I have used it for 3 weeks now. It really works. But it takes time, of course. From first day my digestive system turned to be totally "normal", no diarrhea, bowel movement twice a day (have never had it that way all my life), and my guts feels so "clean"....weird feeling... Then I got the usual flu symptoms you get when you detoxify your body...its now gone, so I know I am over the flu-thing Green clay is too known to detoxify your body. Especially if you take treatments where you get that clay on your body and let the toxins get out through skin, and drink it at same time. Im going to take that clay-treatment in january. The woman who told me about the clay- treatment told me that where people are most poisoned with toxins, is where the clay is changing colour from green to a dirty yellow color.....cool, huh?? Sounds yummy -ha! Im drinking clay not only for heavy metal toxins, but too for chemical toxins.... You can drink it? I'm very glad it's working for you and you're feeling better. What made you decide to try this method in the first place.. who told you about it? I have literature about it.. since a company sells it that I buy unscented Kaolin Clay from. About cloths: I almost never buy new cloths...only used. I have a girlfriend with the MCS/CFS combination that also can do that. I can't. I need my clothes very "pure" (clearing my throat) . It's the level of my chemical injury. Make-up: Quitted to use it many years ago. Use it very seldom - "when I have to", and very little of it...mascara and a liner is all. Can only have it on for some hours, and off with it, because it starts to scratch... I am back to wearing makeup again. I was too sick to wear it for a few years.. but I can tolerate enough that I feel "finished" .. and comfortable with my appearance. The first thing I tried about 3 years ago was a fragrance free lipstick.. and my lips burned.. I never wear makeup if I'm staying home.. but if we are going out.. on it goes. I just wonder if there was correlation between the makeup I wore in the old days that had lead in it.. to the lead toxicity that came back from my testing. My EI doc at the time didn't have an answer for me there. Probably a combination of factors. Commercial health products: I make my own soap and shampoo. Its the greatest Ive used. No allergy to them and you know whats in them. My boyfriend love the shampoo I make, hehe.....I use it as laundry soap too. Maybe homemade laundry soap do that alot of toxins in cloths dissappear?? who knows...lye is a strange thing. Its so alkaline that it kills...but together with oil, you get soap which are much, much better than any commercial soap... Well, isn't that great! Really wonderful you do that. I don't make any homemade soaps....there are some gals on the MCS list that do and have made a business of it.. Especially since many chemically sensitive people having difficulty with personal products. Do you use anything in the bathtub? So far I'm only using Epsom Salts. And creams and stuff like that: I usually try to use only oils. Olive oil is what I have used on my hands, which use to get dry in winter. Today I am trying norwegian coldpressed hempseed oil. From organic grown hemp. It stays too on the bottle that it doesnt have that stuff they use in oils to have longer shelf-life. Will tell you if I tolerate that oil on my hands and face And I drink it of course. I rather use that oil than the Udo's choice oil. I dont know why, but I dont like Udo's choice oil somehow... Well, I'll be waiting to hear how you make out. I don't tolerate hemp. I guess my body know whats right for me.... Right there in a nutshell you said a mouthful Happy new year to you and the other people on this list Thank you Marit. .and the same to you.. a healthier one each year!
