Guest guest
Elana, Since you can recall a definite event that precipitated the onset of this problem, you may want to try something I read about a year or so ago. This requires 2 people and costs nothing. You will sit facing each other. While the friend keeps a finger in motion--wagging and moving up and down and from side to side- you will describe the situation with the traffic in as full detail as possible from beginning to end. You will follow the moving finger with your eyes at all times keeping your head still, that is, the eyeballs must move with the wags and ups and downs, and back and forths of the friend's finger. If the head moves some that's ok. Keep this up for about 45 minutes, going over and over the whole episode as many times as necessary to fill the time. Remember, lots of detail!! Weather, appearance of the road, what the people looked like, what you felt, any birds you saw--and and every detail possible--what you were wearing, what others were wearing, what was in the floor of the car--try to leave nothing out. One session may do it or it may take two. As I understood the article, this CURED much worse situations, such as the Vietnam vet who still sleeps with the knife under the pillow in a separate bedroom. Costs nothing and at worst, will give you a good laugh, but I hear its good. Best wishes, pj Send your FREE holiday greetings online! http://greetings.
