Guest guest
My daughter was waking up screaming with night terrors and someone asked me if she showed signs of pinworms. So I bought the pinworm medicine over the counter in Wales and lo and behold the insert that came with it said that night terrors and bedwetting were all symptoms of pinworms. She took the medicine and stopped waking up with terrors. I think more is physical than we might imagine. I can't find the pinworm medicine here in the US I got in Wales, UK. But there are herbals that work as well or better. Kristie Send your FREE holiday greetings online! http://greetings.
Guest guest
Yes, that make sense to me. I am beginning to believe that many problems are caused by parasites. All types of parasites. Funny thing is that it seems as parasites do like toxins - the more toxins, the more unbalanced body is, the more parasites.... Guest guest
Back in 1980 i attended a workshop by an herbalist from British Columbia named Norma. She was obsessed with pinworms, and blamed them for all sorts of problems. Some of us thought she was a little extreme on the point, but since then i have found indications that she was right in many ways. Pinworms are difficult to detect, and the process of doing so is relatively icky. So few doctors ever bother, since they can easily make some other diagnosis and have success treating that, even when pinworms are present. Norma told us that the main medicine against these critters is Oregon Grape, either as a tea or tincture. This is a very bitter medicine, which mainly targets the liver. Apparently there are actually a number of pinworm species, and not all are technically pinworms. Some would more properly be called liver flukes. According to the Biology textbook i'm teaching from these days, these critters have very complex life cycles. Therefore, a number of treatments would work against them, since all you have to do is interrupt their life cycles at any point. But they do return, sometimes all too quickly. In those cases, i suspect there may be other fundamental factors at work which make a body an especially good host, and those factors need to be handled. Guest guest
Another aspect of parasites, which was covered in an issue of Discover Magazine last year (the one with the really alarming cover photo), is that they can " run " a host body. By this it is meant that they somehow exert an influence over their hosts, causing cravings for foods that benefit them but not the hosts. This has been offered as an explanation for many cases of sugar craving. Of course satisfying a sugar craving usually causes a number of other problems. But the underlying cause may be a parasite, and this particular article underscores that point, as it gives many examples of this happening to various animals in nature.
