Guest guest
My migraines are getting worse and worse and I want to chop off my head. I used to take fever few, it no longer works, im allergice to most prescription pain medicine like codiene etc. I think my body may be detoxing itself from years of benzodiazapine abuse but it seems like the headaches get worse. I can only go about 20 days off the valium before I honestly feel I will die from the PAIN!!! They tried to put me on antidepressants, then blood pressure meds, but the blood pressure only gets up when the headaches have lingered 9 or more friggin days. Plus she wanted me on paxil to combat the sides and anxiety of withdrawl from the valium, but the paxil is addictive so I have learned and don't take it. I think its just detox, but it feels like brain trauma at its worst. Any suggestions, before I go mental? Neck, shoulders HEADACHE. My vision is normal. Guest guest
What you're describing is not surprising in detox from benzodiazepines. Generally, these drugs will tend to reduce or shut down the body's production of dopamine -- that's their long-term effect, which is not normally recognized by physicians. Getting the body to ramp production back up can be tricky. Valerian sometimes helps in these cases. Best thing would be to thoroughly check your diet. You may have a corn allergy. If you EVER took Paxil, there is a possibility of some digestive system damage that makes food allergies much worse. And make sure to include plenty of lecithin, either supplements or in cooking, for a while. Make sure you have a good supply of protein in your diet -- you may have to experiment to see which kind of protein works best for you. Guest guest
((((((Michael))))))) Happy Holidays to you, I will add the lecithin. I have to be real careful with valarien, its not much different from valium is it? I might have a dairy allergy. Only because I tend to eat alot of dairy post cyclic. Major craves. I think Im okay with corn. (Most of my fruit and veg's are bought organic) Not much processed or pkg'd food here. I don't eat much meat. So is veg protien okay? I have meat in the freezer and I will eat it raw if it will help!! Im thinking of an overall cleanse and major detox, just suffer and get it over with. Im worried it will take years of suffering and I will never fully figure out my body until I have balanced things. I still don't know why the doc gave me BP pills when my BP only goes up with the headaches.????????? (maybe cuz I only see her when I have one) (((Thank you both so very very much))))) I hope you are well. Guest guest
Valerian has no relationship whatsoever to Valium. It is a common misconception because of the name similarity. But Valerian is an extremely complex herb -- in fact, i don't think the full range of compounds in it has yet been figured out. Dairy allergy is a possibility -- it would fit with your symptoms. A detailed look at your ancestry would be a good idea. If you have any Asian or Russian ancestors, then dairy allergy is quite possible. Dairy allergy appears to be a dominant genetic trait, but full data on this is not yet available. Vegetable protien is preferred for people of Asian ancestry in particular. You have to be careful with this, because some people of Celtic or Germanic ancestry cannot digest soy properly in any form. If you have Native American genes, then game meat like elk or venison would tend to be excellent. If you want to send a genaeological workup privately, i would certainly look at it and perhaps be able to give you a better idea of what could be happening. This is a fairly new area in the field of nutrition, and is based on studies of anthropology, ethnography, and history. It is not foolproof -- what it does is give you a better idea of probabilities. I always suggest using it as a pointer in regards to elimination diets. Doctors tend to be very liberal with BP pills these days. Those do produce results in a significant number of cases, so it would seem to be a logical choice. But unfortunately, rarely is blood pressure an underlying cause. It may be an intermediate phenomenon associated with something else, but it's very hard work for a doctor to find root causes in these cases. Guest guest
Dear Kim, Are you on the Panther Piss formula? If not, I suggest you get on it immediately. You should also do the Total Body Cleanse Program to get rid of the side effects and the destruction to your body of the Valium. I've found that 80% of all headaches are as a result of bowel problems, so some serious cleansing is in order here. The Panther Piss will not only act as a bandaid, but will go miles and miles in helping to balance your acid/alkaline ratio which is probably way out of whack at the moment. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I did the cleanse and it totally cleared up my frequent headaches. I'd have never believed it. I attributed the headaches to stress and sinuses. Some were really bad - felt just like a horrible sinus headache. Headaches all gone now -- even when my sinuses do get congested. Go figure. Hey Doc, could you give an explanation on exactly how bowel problems can cause headaches? I'm a believer now, but can't figure out the connection. Guest guest
It has been my experience that many of my client's headaces originate in the pelvis, whetherit is from tight muscles pressing on nerves that block the full cycle of the spinal pulse which cause pain Or leaky bowel contamination into the sacral area. many events are processed- or not- Mechanically and spiritually, the head does not exist apart from the body. Many yoga positions amy help loosen the hips, which in turn may begin to loosen the muscles along the spine-all the way up to and through the neck. I used a calcum with magnesium supplement to hep reduce the spasming muscles and it helps me sleep, too. to be internally motivated, i take hemp seed. it is amazing and it does not contain thc- check with the producers. the anandmides can help block pain. Strengthening your muscles and cleansing your blood and system with herbs and moderate exercise that you like will work . I am convinced of this szuzsu >
Guest guest
Wellllllllll, the toe bone's connected ta th' ankle bone, the ankle bone's connected ta th' leg bone ... (LOL ;o) Actually, hon it's quite simple. There are main nerve, lymph, and blood supply channels that run the length of the body, especially through the intestines, and when the bowel gets plugged, sluggish or stressed, this can stop or slow down the supply of these vital nutrients and actions. The end result is an ache in the head which is now missing these fluids or nerve impulses. I kept actual statististics on this once, and it was exactly 80%. 80% of all headaches are caused by bowel problems. Hope this helps.
