No ideas but when you figure it out let me know. I have the same problem.

I've tried CS, GSE, Tea Tree oil, Echinacea-goldenseal and Hydrogen peroxide.

Since last year I have had an itchy ear, just inside the ear not deep in the canal. I happened to go to an ear doctor to get wax removed and he said he did not see anything. Well, it itches like crazy esp after washing my hair. I tried everything from olive oil to tea tree oil. I am currently using nutrobiotics ear drops which have GSE and tea tree in a glycerin base but it still comes back. I did make an appt with a dermatologist for next week because I suspect its funglal. Any ideas?

I have had exactly the same problem for 6 yrs !! homeopathy has not

helped (and i am a homeopath so that did my confidence no good!). i

will confess and tell you what has helped me the most-last november

in utter desparation i went to a consultant, did 2 wks of

steroid/antibiotic drops (i was desparate!!). since then i have been

90% better. i have some custom made ear plugs and use these every day

in shower as it is important to keep ears dry. i now feel that

herbal/homeopathic rx may now have a chance to 'rebuild' and

strenthen my system

so what i am saying is if it is really bad and leads to hearing

loss, pain etc do use the conventional route in the short term acute

stage

That is why I am going to dermatologist, sometimes there is a place for allopathic meds. I spoke with someone on another list who suffered with this for 2 years and it cleared right up with a cream from the Dr.
