Guest guest
Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could recommend what I need to take. My doctor is wanting to put me on anti-depressants, which I am not wanting to go that route. I know about St. John's Wort, but I do not think I am depressed. I feel like I am uptight at times, irritable, pms'ing every three weeks, and sometimes not a very nice person. Is there something I can take to kind of calm myself. I do take Valerian root at night sometimes for rest, should I consider this every night? I really wouldn't want to take it during the day, because I already have a problem with fatigue. Any suggestions would help. Tammy P.S. I love this group and reading your posts.

Tammy, I feel like this when I'm not taking wild yam root tincture. With a couple of dropperfuls daily-my pms is GONE and I don't want to scream at everybody about everything. I've used both the tincture and the lotion and like the tincture much better. Ann in Memphis
Guest guest
Investigating crimes committed by your doctor, and getting him prosecuted for those, would give you a great deal of satisfaction and be an achievement that will benefit your whole community. I say this because any M.D. who wants to put someone on antidepressants just for being a little uptight and irritable has probably committed some horrible crimes and is trying to dope up his patients so he never gets discovered. Valerian is one of those herbs that shouldn't be taken too often. That's probably why it was made to taste so bad. Just the lousy taste alone is a good motivation to get out of being depressed and get into being more relaxed with purely mental techniques. And there are many mental techniques which work well to assist in relaxation. One of the best is to simply acheive things that you can definitely say are your accomplishments.
