Zip, don't knock the turpentine, I have a crazy old neighbor that uses it for everything and he does not use medicinal grade. He gets his off the shelves at the lumber store - he pours it on all open cuts and wounds and they seal up and heal beautifully. He gargles with it for strep throat. He has survived to a ripe old age of 73 and counting. When I had my recent wreck with my wild and crazy horse he brought me a salve made out of (you guessed it) turpentine and beeswax. I have not used it - it is sitting in a jar on the bookshelf. I figure if it doesn't eat it's way out of the jar and escape on it's own after a few months then maybe I will try it on a sore muscle or two. In the meantime I have my own salve with cayenne that is working just fine.
