" Either Flaxseed is a good food or it is not. If it has bad things in it, I would not trust or use the oil. I have been eating ground flaxseed for some time now, and have noticed no decline in healing, if anything, it is better. Considering the cost and availability of good food, decent food, and foods that have no bad effect, Flaxseed seems to be one of the better bargains. Possibly if one ate a pound or two per day, some ill effect might be noticed. Typically one to two ounces is the norm for me. Often I just dump them into my daily super drink and let nature takes its course. I would be interested in more information of anything bad relative to flaxseed. If you save your emails, check mine. I said that when you consume flaxseed, it should be ground up - I did not say why because I just wanted to finish. The reason why I say that flax seed should be ground first is that if it is not, it may come out the way it went in - whole and undigested. No other reason.
