Guest guest
Today and all week many pronouncements on TV say some Doctors have to pay $200,000 per year for Insurance. No TV guy has said that this is equal to $100 per hour. Why not? If you have a favorite Radio program would you call and explain to the listeners that $200,000 per year is $100 per hour for the DR, if She works 40 hours a week. Also ask every Dr. you see how much of your bill is for Insurance. When my youngest was born the Dr. said HALF his charge was for insurance! Guest guest
Dear Group, I personally don't think that the problem in our medical system lies with the malpractice tort system. We need doctors in our society and there are a few good ones, but in my opinion, if any real justice were available, for about 95% of the doctors out there, there should be a bounty put on them. Guest guest
I have a suggestion which would solve the medical malpractice problem. That would be to persuade the legislature to set up a two tiered insurance system. One kind of insurance would be like the present in which the sky is the limit. The second would be modeled after workman's compensation in which injuries would have a preset compensation. The patient would chose which system he wanted and pay for it separate from the medical bill agreed upon in advance in writing. Sincerely, Charles Weber,
