Guest guest
hello! I am very interested in this discussion about cruciferous vegetables. Are these the same as " brasillica " family? My son will NOT eat vegetables. So what I do is I make vegetable broth. I want to make sure that this broth is as good for him as possible because he has many health issues going on. I ususally use carrots, onion, garlic, celery and some parsely. And I used to put cabbage in the broth. B ut then one night I read on the internet (and I can't remember where!) that you aren't meant to cook spinach, ,cabbage and the like (celery?) in soup because they can release some sort of toxin. You only cook them quickly, steaming them really. Can someone comment on this? I don't want to exclude useful vegetables, nor do I want to introduce yet more toxins to my son! Thank you, Marti
