Guest guest
from ablechild Tue, 27 May 2003 23:01:25 -0400 May 27, 2003 Dear Supporters: Last week HR 1170, The Child Medication Safety Act of 2003, was voted on in the House of Representatives and passed overwhelmingly with a vote of 425-1. We are truly excited about this positive congressional response to this issue, and their obvious concern for the many parents and families that have been directly infringed upon or harmed as a result of forced child drugging. HR 1170 is now headed for the Senate. This is our next important hurdle. I am asking each and every one of you personally, to take the time and call your Federal Senators and let them know in brief your stories and how important HR 1170’s passing would be for you. They need to know that there are many families out there that have real experiences with this issue and want reform. This is crucial. Please help. I want to thank those of you that have signed the pressuring/coercion petition located on our homepage www.ablechild.org. This is vital in showing the government that your stories are not only real but are much more common than some persons/groups are claiming. For those parents that have been pressured to “medicate” their child by a school district, please take the time to sign this very important petition if you haven’t already signed. My final request is that you should try to lead as many parents to www.ablechild.org. In this way we will increase the circulation of important information. Information is knowledge. Knowledge is key. Thank you for all your help in fighting for our children.
