Guest guest
ive touched on this before. but my wife is currently using colloidal silver on her eye. her sister had made her some drops that we thought had goldenseal in them but all they have is eyebright. when she puts the eyebright in her eyes they turn redder and it appears they are not working. at first it did drain some puss out but now all it is doing is turning them red. does eyebright help with pink eye any? we have no goldenseal. all we have is silver. should she stop useing the eyebright while useing the silver? thanks greg

There are many forms available. Which brand are you currently using? Choosing from the variety of eye herbals available, I would rate bilberry as the best by far! There are extracts, capsules and teas which are all very helpful. Standard process carries the best bilberry in my opinion, although enzymatic therapy has some wonderful supplements as well. She needs to use an eyecup and thoroughly wash out the eye several times each day. This will tend to diminish the soreness. I have taken green tea (regular not decaf) in the past and made an eyewash solution out of it ( it has a major cooling and soothing effect on sore eyes). This will provide a measure of relief until the supplements take effect. Personally I would question the value of applying 'silver' or goldenseal or eyebright directly on severely infected eyes. My husband and I used this natural remedy years ago after he sustained severe eye irritation/burns from working around a ascetylene torch. Affirmative! This works very well!
