Thank you for the overwhelming response from you--the grassroots of Citizens for

Health--in opposition to Senate Bill 722. Thanks to your efforts, S. 722 was

not added as an amendment to the Senate appropriations bill, which was reviewed

in committee this past week. However, it is still possible that S. 722 may be

added to spending legislation when it comes before the Senate for approval,

Just want to tell you the latest that the big pharma is doing. My

husband was in a health food store the other day and the man that

owns it came up to him and said that the government agencies were

going around to the different health food stores and checking the

labels, and if any of them claimed any benefits at all for a cure or

healing,the store people had to remove it from the shelf and pour it

down the drain. Coloidal Silver for one that was named and there

were others. So this is already happening to our stores. This will

hurt and if done long enough could cost too deep into the pocket and

close the stores.

I just thought you would be interested in this latest information.

We better sign any thing to help stop this happening any further.

Kathryn, I have noticed other changes on the internet as well. For

example the herb encylopedia at iherb is no longer accessible.

I hope this doesn't denote a future trend. We need these resources!

This may hinder our work more than we realize.

I believe Jason was selected as an example of what were to follow

if the internet persists in providing alternative guidance. Let's

face it, this is the only arena open to us at the moment. Now they

are invading our space. It is ludicrous!

 

There are many companies which inadvertently make claims on their

supplements, including the AIM companies whom I am affiliated with.

The very name of some of them implies healing from a specific

illness for example 'Glucochrome'. Just wondering if these would

be 'trashed' as well!

Who really knows.

If this occurs everywhere, there would be many of our wonderful

supplements disposed of. I doubt this would pertain to the larger

chains such as vitamin outlet. Several HFS have been 'raided' in our

area, just for specific cancer cures, that's all. Other than that

they have left everything intact. Poor cancer victims!
