Guest guest
Hi! I am interested in alternative answers and am happy that I found this group :-) My question is this... I seem to get a new cold every two weeks... I exercise every day, eat a healthy diet, take Vitamin C, Folic acid, 1 baby aspirin and fish oil. I find myself reaching for the OTC cold meds and yet I feel I never fully feel like the cold has left...coughing, runny nose, congestion, headache, body ache... Can anyone give me any ideas on what I can do, herbs, additional vitamins, etc that might help me in my journey to have a stronger immune system?? Thank you in advance! Dear New Member, I have a few thoughts that may help. If you are a woman, throw away your old lipsticks and get a new one, and throw it away when you are better. Change your toothbrush, too. Lysol your doorknobs and toilet flush knob and faucets, and telephone handle and mouthpiece. Use your dishwasher water and dryer at a hotter level. Use bleach or rubbing alcohol on your kitchen counters. Bathe your pets. Use antibacterial soap to wash hands and carry antibacterial hand gel. Don't drink out of last night's water glass. If you get any cut, use neosporin and a bandaid. I feel you may be reinfecting yourself somehow as I did. I was getting a cold every 21 days, and had a tonsilectomy. Now I rarely have a sore throat. But it was a high price to pay! You may be working too hard and getting yourself worn down, too. Maybe you can delegate so you can get more rest. I hopes this helps a little Athena
Guest guest
-Hi, and welcome to the group. I think you will find a lot of different perspectives in this forum. It sounds like the OTC's as you mentioned are not working. This does not come as any surprise as the OTC's work to supress your symptoms. They will eventually return. A Couple of remedies to help you, Colliadol silver will kill any bacterial or viral stuff you have going on. Garlic tea, tastes nasty add lemon to it to help with the taste. The garlic clears congestion. Garlic is also anti bacterial and anti viral. These are both short term solutions. Long term I would sugest, the use of theives oil in a spray bottle 5-10 drops in 2 oz spray bottle of pure water. Use a body spray. I know dental techs that spray themselves with this before leaving for the day and spray their hands in between patients. Add a multi mineral supplement and enzymes to your program and dreink lemon water to keep your ph balanced. Best wishes. Kristina -- In , " LR " <alagonza2000> wrote: > > Hi! Guest guest
24.1.06 if you are really interested in clearing this cold for good, try the `cough & cold Linga mudra ` the ancient indian yogic hand postures which you will find in the mudra folder in files. within maximum 15 days it could clear up if not within 7 days. if thereafter you do it once a week, it should not come back. the body is made of 5 elements as nature. any imbalance in these elements creates dis-ease. hand is the key board to the body computor and hand postures regain that balance and heal the problem. for improving overall immune system, the pran mudra is very good. all the mudras are given in one page do-it-yourself system with photos, how to do it and benefits. try & share. with light & love d.k.kothari DK_Holistic_Healing/ - " LR " <alagonza2000 Saturday, January 21, 2006 10:54 PM New to the Group: New cold every two weeks > Hi! There is a commercial on TV these days where some guy with a briefcase is much too important to be missed from the workplace for one moment, so he hops out of bed, pops a Dayquil, and after a busy day he hits the sack with a Nyquil. (or some such remedy) Meanwhile the whole office has become exposed to his virus, and his body never gets a chance to do whatever it is bodies want to do when they decide to get a cold. I totally agree with the suggestions Kristina made. Could this be the same cold that just never had a chance to run its course? Or, could it be allergies? You need some rest, and some superfoods! Guest guest
Hi! I use echinacia with goldenseal. It's an herb that has anti bacterial and anti virus properties. It strengthens the immune system. I start taking it in the fall as soon as I am near someone with a cold. I stop taking it in the late spring-early summer. I have found it to be very effective for me, along with vitamins and minerals, etc. Love, Light and Healing Laughter, Candy 2006 The years teach us much, which the days never knew. -Ralph Waldo Emerson - " LR " <alagonza2000 Saturday, January 21, 2006 11:24 AM New to the Group: New cold every two weeks Hi!
