Guest guest
Michelle, Did you ever listen to Dr. John Lee MD's lecture on progesterone and all about xenoestrogens? I was so bamboozled when I first listened to it I think I played it 10 times in a row. I know it is sort of isolated to his work with progesterone, but regardless it's very very informative and enlightening. Lorain Michelle <mnewport Tue May 09 14:05:31 CDT 2006 Xenoestrogens Xenoestrogens are man-made estrogens. They are found in by-products of food production, coffee, soaps, clothes, pharmaceuticals, detergents, household cleaners, pesticides, lawn fertilizer, commercially grown meat and produce, unfiltered water, cosmetics and even in computer chips. All these synthetic estrogens throw your body out of balance and creates estrogen dominance. Ways to reduce exposure to Xenoestrogens: -Choose organic produce whenever possible. Or if not organic reduce your exposure by washing produce thoroughly. -Choose free-range meat and dairy products without antibiotics and hormones. -Add natural antioxidants in the form of fresh, plant-based foods to help boost your immune system and manage your weight. -Make sure you are getting the nutrients your body needs by supplementing your diet with herbs, vitamins and minerals. Even when eating an organic diet we still don't get all the nutrients we require for good health due to farming practices today that deplete the soil of valuable vital nutrients. A warning sign of estrogen dominance for women is PMS or menopausal symptoms. Guest guest
Hi Lorain, No I haven't listened to Dr. Lee but would be interested in hearing the lecture. I think it's so important that women (and men) know about xenoestrogens and the effect they have on the body.
