Guest guest
WRT this thread, people keep mentioning how a positive emotional state can have a marked effect on breakouts and even recovery in seemingly impossible circumstances, and I agree with this. For really amazing info re: such, I recommend reading this excellent little book by Norman Cousins called " Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient " . Norman Cousins is a guy who has cured himself of several seemingly incurable diseases using nothing but, well, mostly laughter and optimism. (He actually left a hospital and spent a week watching comedy videos...) For more solid scientific information on effects like this, the following book has been recommended to me, though I've only read excerpts: The Psychobiology of Mind-Body Healing, by E. Laurence Rossi. I also found parts of Dr. Andrew Weil's book " Spontaneous Healing " very helpful. Best of luck to everyone, and may the Groucho Brothers and Monty Python save us all! Take care, Sara T. httpd://www.boredmail.com
