This is true. I travelled to Germany and stayed with a physician in 1992.

The phenomenon is a great vexation to major pharmaceutical companies

headquartered in neighboring Switzerland. Of course not all German doctors

are like this.

 

Also Germans have available two other disciplines which you don't see here:

Heilpraktik, which is somewhat like Naturopathy; and Electronic Homeopathy.
