Guest guest
Doc, Is there anything you HAVEN'T done? LOL! My original post just basically asked if there was anything he could do/use to protect and salvage his voice before and after gigs. When he has two consectutive nights of performances, the second night he seems to be straining and he complains of a soare throat off and on all of the time. Just this week he chose to completely remove soda from his diet (a big step for my 6-8 Mt Dew a day man!) He says his stomach feels much better though. I will remember to add the lobelia. How much do you think? I was a little concerned about using myrrh since I have read conflicting info on it's safety. Thanks, dear! Guest guest
Aaaaaaaaaaa-Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! Sody Pop!!!!!!!!!!! That'll do it. Not only is it usually drunk cold, but he's probably used to drinking 'em while at a gig. So, this tells me a couple of things, and the handling should be very simple. #1. His acid/alkaline ratio is outa whack. #2. He probably has no vascili from his duodenum on up #3. His internal enzyme function is screwed up. #4. The amount of good bacteria in his system is at a minimum. He doesn't need a throat tonic with Lobelia or anything else. What he needs is: #A. 3 tablespoons of Panter Piss a day, with one taken before he goes on stage. #B. A plant enzyme capsule before each meal. #C. Start taking some kind of culture (acidopholus, etc.) to build back the good bacteria. #D. Knock off aaaaaaallllllllllllll Sody Pop. Also, No Beer, No booze (that was a tough one in the bars I worked in ;o), and cut back on the coffee to one cup a day, and drink it warm = not hot. This should be enough to turn him around, though a total body cleanse would straighten him right out and make him sing like a lark. ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Rowan Windsong herbal remedies Thursday, November 21, 2002 9:06 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Voice Tonic Doc, Is there anything you HAVEN'T done? Thanks. A lark, huh? I think he'd be happy with just hitting all the expected notes! =) Oh, and he doesn't drink booze, or beer, so that's no big deal. Milk. He's normally a big milk drinker. (Yeah, I can hear people snickering at my rock and roll husband swigging milk instead of beer! Lol!) Anyhow, I have been reading him your posts about milk and discussing finding or making some rice or almond milk for the kids to try, so he had no milk for the 3 days before he sang, but him giving THAT up may be as big of a crisis as the soda pop!! Panther Piss recipe is in the files somewhere, right? I understood everything except the plant enzyme capsule. Is that something you buy or make? What's it got in it (just any plants or particular plants). I'm sorry. That part just confused me! Maybe I need some Brain tonic! LOL! Help? Thanks again, dear. Guest guest
Dear Rowan, Welllllllllll, the milk has got to go too, as it is mucus forming, and could be promoting the problem. The Panther Piss Recipe is in the files. You could buy an enzyme supplement from any healthfood store or just have him eat lots of pineapple and/or papaya. These could be juiced and used instead of the milk and soda pop. ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Janece Suarez herbal remedies Sunday, November 24, 2002 1:39 PM RE: Re: [herbal remedies] Voice Tonic Great, Doc, you're a sweetie!
