Guest guest
Folks, I am a teacher and find that after about 30 minutes of teaching, I begin to lose my voice. This has been happening for a couple of years on and off, and the traditional docs have had no idea what is going on. They blamed it on synis drainage, etc. In other words, they are clueless. Anyone have any ideas. Paul Ferrara P.S. Being new here, I don't understand the whole vaccine thing. Okay, this is going to seem like and odd querybut...here goes! <G> My husband is a singer/guitarist with a rock band.(No, he's NOT famous <G>, local band, littlebars/clubs as venues.) He often has gigs (shows) onconsecutive nights. We have both noticed that onSaturday night after he has already had a gig Friday,he really struggles with hitting some of his notes, etc. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestionsfor say...the week before, and the week after each gigas well as anything he can do overall to protect thehealth of his vocal chords and throat? Maybe somethinghe should be eating or drinking the week before toprepare for singing? Or the week after to help withany irritation/inflamation from singing? Or things heshould be avoiding either time?Pertinent extra info: He knows he needs water anddrinks a TON the week before a gig, and cuts down hiscaffiene intake to just enough so he doesn't getwithdrawl headaches. He does not drink alcohol duringa gig at all (well, neither of us drink for thatmatter). He doesn't smoke and we live in a smoke freehome, but of course the bars are filled with smoke andthere's no way for him to avoid it during gigs. He's singing this weekend and anything he/we can dobetween now and then would sure be appreciated! Thanks, RowanFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
Well a trying day with my hatchlings will do the same thing to my voice ;-) As for the vaccine thing. They contain thimeresol (mercury), which is poisoning our children. This year, in my home state of Oregon, the children with Autism can no longer be counted - the mathematicians call their numbers "infinite". And that is just the children that fit into that particular diagnosis. There are a myriad of other disorders that our wonderful drug companies have created. So that is a brief, tip of the iceberg sort of description of the vaccine issue. Guest guest
Yes but this happens after a 30-minute Sunday School lesson that I teach with adults also. That vaccine thing is absolutely frightening; I had no idea. Paul - Dragonhealer herbal remedies Friday, November 22, 2002 9:02 PM Re: [herbal remedies] throat/vocal chord health?
