Ionic Breeze...an option

Melanie, I use an ionizer in my bedroom to stop my husband's snoring,

and IT WORKS! I ordered a smaller, less expensive ionizer from QVC,

and it's made by Amcor. Go to www.iqvc.com , and look up item number

V13749, the Amcor Clean Air Ionizer with Washable Filter and Aroma

Beads. It's only $34.50 plus shipping and taxes, and it really does

the job. The filter is very easily removed and cleaned by running it

under the faucet, and it never needs replacing. It really does help

to eliminate dust and pet dander, and like I said, it stops the buzz

saw snoring and sleep apnea my husband suffers from. I've

recommended it to several other family members and friends, and it

works on their snoring loved ones, too! A wonderful little

contraption I would not be without. It runs continually, and it has

a quiet motor that is not at all disruptive.

Try it; you'll like it!!

p.s. You can order two for less than the Ionic Breeze, right? One

will cover about 500 sq ft, I think. We keep the door to the bedroom

closed at night to insure ionized air in that room.

Thanks for the information, Molly. I guess what I'm asking here is

how harmful is an ionizer? I hear no problem, but I also hear some

folks have a lot of problems with them.

Actually, my husband is a computer manager and programmer and these ionizers will only affect biological matter NOT mechanical or electro-mechanical matter.

I looked into these ionizers and in fact I ordered one because I am a

snorer.

The fact is that they negatively charge the air and all the particles in

the

air. Since everything else is positively charged all the solid

particles in

the air are attracted to them. So instead of having a lot of dust

in the

air you will end up having a lot of dust stuck to your floors and

furniture.

Even more so, your computer which is very positively charged will attract

these

particles and I think that the fact that these dust particles will end up

accumulating

on the fans in your computer more quickly and slow these machines

down. Consequently

certain imortant components especially your CPU will overheat and

fail.

That is my understanding. Not really positive.
