CLA: Fat-Burning Miracle Worker?

A potential functional food ingredient and food additive is creating a stir in research circles and may eventually find its way into a range of products. CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), a natural free fatty acid, can help burn fat five to 10 times the normal rate while increasing muscle tissue, according to results of three research projects in Norway and Sweden. A Finnish study found a link between incidence of breast cancer and consumption of full-fat milk, which is higher in CLA. Women who drank a lot of full-fat milk were found to be at reduced risk, while those with low CLA levels in breast tissue had a much higher cancer risk. In another experiment, the addition of CLA to dairy cow feed actually produced low-fat milk because of CLA's fat-burning properties. Researchers are looking at the possibility of adding CLA directly to milk, rather than to the feed.

I began taking CLA/Tonalin two years ago. I dropped 40 lbs in 10 months and had not felt so healthy in many years. The protein in tonalin also helps to burn carbs -- something that is very much in the news nowadays. I believe in this supplement, but please do your own research. Have any of you tried Tonalin? What were your results?
