Guest guest
Peter, Do you like legumes? That’s what I eat for protein. There’s also a lot of vegetables that have protein – artichokes, parsnips, asparagus, peas, peppers, spinach, broccoli, peanut butter, Brussels sprouts. The recommendation for protein for adult males is from about 65-80 grams per day, for adult females about 50-65, which is very easy to get with a vegetarian diet. Most meat eaters get way more than that recommendation. There is another post that recommend we become vegetarian. Peter

Guest guest
Hi, Had no response to my original question, what caused the foaming. Let me rephrase the question. Are there any soybean user on this list? Has anyone observed similar phenomena or is mine an isolated incident? Peter

Guest guest
" Stop producing the toxins, and get back to living off the natural animal protein, and put back the health into mankind " . Wonder what people lived on before soymeal became touted as the saviour of mankind - AND Canola Oil, AND hydrogenated margarine, AND the lowfat, high carb diet AND all the other fadisms. Wonder why with the miracle grains, beans, and diets, we are fatter and sicker than ever before????? AND, following the thread covering the oestrogen properties of SOY, why our male population has reduced sperm count by some 60% in the past 40 years - not to mention reduced fertility, dramatic increase in sexual dysfunction, and astronomical interest in " gayness " ???? just a couple of wonders.... As with all foods, you wouldn't want to buy fish or meat that contained toxic substances. You should know where your meat and fish products originate and their potential for containing toxic substances. Buying lettuce from Mexico has caused some serious health problems but lettuce is not inherently toxic. Soy is inherently toxic in a number of different ways and can contribute to kidney stones on top of that. After you get your first kidney stone you will never eat soy products again. If you want protein, and want to avoid meat and fish, you can always eat eggs. Peanut butter is a good protein source. You can also eat beans and nuts, particularly chestnuts which I believe contain complete protein. You can also try almond butter. You can also mix whey protein (not soy protein) into soups and sauces. Although I am not a vegetarian, I recognize that the meat lobby has done a good job of making Americans believe that meat is the only way to get protein in your diet. The fact is that good sources of protein are found in many food items. This is a good site that discusses vegan protein sources (although they are uninformed about the dangers of soy and apparently unaware that chestnuts exist): http://www.naturodoc.com/library/nutrition/protein.htm Read only the mail you want - Mail SpamGuard.
