Guest guest
Thambi, I think it was probably invented just by somebody who wanted to make a lot of money off of people. On the website you gave, it says “the CURE for Crohn’s Disease”. That is against the law in this country – to claim that something which is not a drug will cure a disease. If the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) saw this website, they would shut it down. I would not consider that Primal Defense product because the probiotics are blended in together. What happens if your body needs more (or less) acidophilus, or more (or less) bifidus, then what? You can’t take more of one or the other, because it’s all inclusive. And it tells you no refrigeration necessary. I would not trust a probiotic that doesn’t need refrigeration. Also, their ad states that there is a whole food in the capsule, but I can’t find anywhere on that site what that whole food is. There are juice extracts in it, but no whole food. Also, the label says “ionic plant based minerals” – I would want to know more about that and where that comes from. I’m guessing that the minerals are also just extracts from a plant and not the whole food itself. Extracted “anything” is never found in nature – it is manmade. If I were you I would do a lot more research before spending money on this product. I got interested in HSOs (trade mark) because of this: http://www.mercola.com/forms/primal_defense.htm *Clinical Studies show that PRIMAL DEFENSE can significantly improve your health by: Providing partial to full relief from bowel problems Reducing symptoms of fatigue Decreasing joint pain Improving skin conditions Clearing of sinus infections Increasing energy levels Decreasing instances of shortness of breath Creating a greater sense of overall well being Dr. Mercola seem to have a very good standing here as I have read so many of his articles reposted here. However I have not been able to locate any studies, clinical or otherwise. Another point to be made is that Gastroenterology Journal questions the wisdom if introducing large numbers of human-foreign bowel bacteria. And another is that several of the bacteria are transient; they aren't meant to be there for long anyway. Probiotics are seldom necessary; all you have to do is feed your own culture with inulin, a practice with more than 5,000 years behind it. regards, DUncan Crow
Guest guest
Hi - I will look for them again, but from everything that I read, the researchers were against this approach.thambivanakam <thambivanakam wrote: > I would not waste your time with that stuff..several studies have debunked itHi Johnny,Any links to the studies?I got interested in HSOs (trade mark) because of this:http://www.mercola.com/forms/primal_defense.htm*Clinical Studies show that PRIMAL DEFENSE can significantly improve your health by:Providing partial to full relief from bowel problems Reducing symptoms of fatigue Decreasing joint pain Improving skin conditions Clearing of sinus infections Increasing energy levels Decreasing instances of shortness of breath Creating a greater sense of overall well being Dr. Mercola seem to have a very good standing here as I have read so many of his articles reposted here.
