Guest guest
Thanks for the help with the catscan info, now can somebody tell me about this other test the doc wants me to have called a Pet scan...it ain't for pets...seems like what I can figure, the emitter is in the radioactive tracer they inject me with, and the rotor is similiar to the catscan in appearance, only now it is the receiver...beats me...but i'm supposed to go have one and am a bit dubious about this thing...first off when I asked about " safety " , the lady explaining all this told me she works around it all the time, and " nobody has had any problems " , which makes sense because the radioactivity is in the patient, not sprayed all over the room as in X-ray....i failed to ask this question when I had chemo several years ago, and did not know until this morning that chemo, while putting some cancer in remission, may allow other forms of cancer to develop that otherwise wouldn't have...great great news....anyways, I'd appreciate some info from you guys on this " Pet " scan...thanks
