Guest guest
I have found a tree trimmer, Mike, who will cut, wash, and ship, enough oleander clippings to fill a 12 quart stew pot. After a 30 second contemplation, he says he will include shipping and handling for a total of $55.00. He regularily trims oleander and has almost an unlimited source. If anyone is interested, let me know, off line, and I will give you the details. He wants to be paid via a money order, or western union wire. He's a poor, humble guy, who eaks out a living trimming trees and doing yard work, but is very honest, and has done very good work for me personally. Guest guest
Hi All, $55 seems a lot for what most people in my area regard as garbage. When I posted an ad seeking oleander on Craigslist, SF Bay Area, I got so many offers I had to turn most of them down. Someone even delivered 3 young plants, and I gave her a few ornamental plants I had. I suggest people place their own ads for free on Craigslist in any oleander-growing area, that means the south or California, and offer a small amount of money or collectible trinket. A pot full of oleander shouldn't cost you more than postage and a small gift. In Minnesota, you can purchase a plant, which is $75.00 minimum. $55.00 seems reasonable; pays the guy a decent wage; and we don't have to destroy an entire plant.
