HI ALL...Im new to this site and treatment,

and have not started cooking yet!

I have just read OS has the effect of speeding up heart rate. Having

hypertension (and HCV)I am weary of how it will mix with the Chinese

herbs I take. Has anyone been through the process with an

alternative theratist? Or what are your experiences generally in this

area?

Hoping this soup will take me on the journey I am seeking..

Thanks in advance

Ingrid

Welcome to the group, Ingrid. The short layman's answer is that Yes, oleander soup can lead to speading up the heart, since it contains a cardiac glycosides including one (oleandrin) that cross assays with digitalis/digoxin; however, it is not likely to do so in the doses used for oleander soup, which actually contains a very tiny amount of oleandrin, oleandrinogen and the other cardiac glycosides. It is impossible to answer how it might interact with your unnamed Chinese herbs without knowing what they are and what properties they have, especially what stimulant properties they may have.I highly suggest you consult with a naturopath who is familiar with your herbs and hopefully with oleander extract as well. Although there has never been a single incidence of serious side-effects or complications reported with the use of both home-made oleander soup or the essentially identical patented medicine Anvirzel, one can never be too

careful.Since oleander soup made and taken according to directions begins with very small dosages, I would think you would be able to notice when and if you reached a point where your heartrate began to increase.I have only heard of a couple of relative minor incidences of racing hearts - and both happened when someone started out with a much larger dose than recommended.Tonybuddhababe_au <isorum wrote: HI ALL...Im new to this site and treatment, and have not started cooking yet!

Thanks for your reply and input Tony,

Much appreciated, your in-depth knowledge is reassuring. I'm sure taking a cautious approach is the way to go. One little dose to begin with sounds easy.

I'm wondering also if there are any kind folks in this group with HCV who could share with me their experiences taking OS.

Cheers Ingrid

I am sure that there must be, Ingrid, but I fear that our group members are all hibernating for the winter right now.Come on folks - wake up and share!OK, I'll go first:Here are four simple High Blood Pressure remedies (taken from my "Collected Remedies" book) High Blood Pressure Mix 1 to 2 onion juice and 1 to 2 honey. Take two tablespoons once a day for one to two weeks.Eat one Papaya on an empty stomach daily for a month. Do not eat

anything after for about two hours.Cayenne Pepper. Mix one teaspoon of cayenne pepper with half a cup of luke warm water and stir. Drink at temperature desired. Two Evening Primrose oil pills a day can drop blood pressure about 10 points off of both the bottom and top numbers. Cutting out all caffeine can lower blood pressure by 10-15 points off the top and 8-10 points off the bottom.Eat lots of garlic, preferably raw minced

garlic. As I recall, I already sent you materail about the natural treatment of HCV. Since hypertension (high blood press) is a secondary condition of HCV (and Diabetes), I would expect to see improvements in your hypertension coinciding with improvements in your HCV.Live long, live healthy, live happy!TonyIngrid Sorum <isorum wrote: Thanks for your reply and input Tony, Much appreciated, your in-depth knowledge is reassuring.
