Guest guest
Who says we are all just sitting around and watching what is going on some of us are teaching in the school system and NOT dumbing down, but trying desperately to raise the standards (adding AP art class to my class load for next year). Some may not think that art is a venue for raising the standards but if they believe that they can do one thing, students can believe that they can do others. And, when they study ecology, they are genuinely shocked at what is going on in the world around them and want to do something about it. We give teenagers too little credit. Examples are our public schools, especially in metropolital areas, TV, radio, news, and of course there are more. Public schools with their lack of education and low standards may be the worst. How do you control a society? Dumb them down. Give them plenty of entertainment to keep them busy and not interested in what is really important and use the entertainment media for mind control. I believe we are almost there. The fact that we just sit and watch the atrocities going on before us proves our apathy. > > > > May > http://thecorner4women.com > " Empowering Women Throughout the World " > http://dipetanesoutheast.com > > > > > > Michael Goebel <goebelchx > oleander soup > Tuesday, June 5, 2007 5:07:46 PM > Re: Re: Fwd: Thank You For Contacting My Office > > The framers of the Constitution knew that such type government could only exist is a Christian populace that was largely law-abiding, moral, and where each individual took pride in his actions and bearing complete responsibility for them. Guest guest
I agree, if anyone wants to know how young people today are thinking go to answers and read the questions and answers. Yes there are the dummies but there are a lot of smart young thinking people out there....Janicecr8iveart wrote: Who says we are all just sitting around and watching what is going on some of us are teaching in the school system and NOT dumbing down, but trying desperately to raise the standards (adding AP art class to my class load for next year).
