I was dx'd BiPolar.....and that's when I began using ONLY Celtic Sea Salt because of the high content in natural lithium salt. Within a year, I retook the tests and lost the diagnosis.

Ah! You have touched on two subjects near and dear to my heart.

1. Children

2. Mental Illness

I am by no means a professional of any kind. I observe life from

what I see, where I have been, and where I am now. I maintain that

99% of mental illness is actually emotional illness and/or poor

diet. I am a recovered agoraphobic so I know quite a lot of what I

speak. I was my first patient. LOL

Children and drugs. Here is another instance of jumping the gun.

With the high risk children I deal with (on a voluntary basis) I

notice that they are being drugged because of behavior problems that

they are now classifying as medical problems. A lot of these

behavior problems are the children dealing with the " behavior " of

their parents (abuse, drugs, etc.) And then of course there is

the " No Child Left Behind " program and the President's screening for

mental illness. Hmmm.... all the dots are connecting.

So as I read this article I shuddered. My diagnosis of this whole

thing. There are a lot of hurting people in this world. Hurting so

badly that they can't even take care of their own children, so this

hurt is being passed on from generation to generation. To truly help

these children we must reach the mothers. Teach them self esteem so

they will think enough about themselves and their children to leave

abusive situation and not depend on drugs to feel good and then go

from there.

This subject is such a complicated one and involves a very large part

of society. We need to do some fixin' instead of masking.
