Guest guest
If you were to collect all of the side effects of chemotherapy, beyond the secondary cancers it brings on, you could write a book (Tony?). You've got cardiovascular disease (it attacks your arteries) and the destruction of the enamel in your teeth. And these aren't even listed. In a message dated 4/27/2008 10:07:10 A.M. That was in my really scared days. So over the last three years, I have had numbness and tingling, read pain from my shoulders to the middle of my hands. The drs. said neck trauma, suspected herniated disc, found some degenerative bone disease, but in their words, "not enough to be causing me the pain I have had." I have felt that the mylein sheath had been stripped, they, of course, said not that was not possible with the low level of chemo I received. but, I received 5 -Flu!!!!they tested for pre-diabetes cause that would explain the pain. I have been taking B vitamins, especially B12, and doubled up on the Vitamin D, before I knew anything about it for dealing with the pain. Any other suggestions from the group? Thanks for al the info. I really appreciate any and all input. JannaNeed a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. Guest guest
I chose not to decide that I have all those side effects just because they are on the list. Maybe I have cardiovascular disease and teeth problems in my future, but I have done some cleansing, eat better than I have in years - organic, am growing some fresh veggies and herbs on my patio including Oleander, taking supplements, working on emotional clearing, probiotics, etc. My question is still what other things do I need to do to help with regenerating nerve damage. If I can address tooth problems with different rinses and oral jet cleaner, I don't believe that I have permanent nerve damage. I didn't have as much chemo as many people who go on to have a second round of chemo, then turn to alternatives and heal and live long lives. I have had live blood analysis with Dr. Harvey Bigelson, who says that I have no cancer in my body at this moment. My pain and nerve tingling has reduced considerably with the Vitamin D, now I want to be sure that I have truly healed it. I have read all the posts for Shara with great interest.I have thought seriously about studying the family herbalist course, because taking some of these things feels like I am just medicating myself in the dark (maybe not totally in the dark, but in twilight ;-), albeit a healthier version of taking presriptions but still not really know whether or not I am balancing all things or just adding more that the body system has to deal with. I know that some of you have some ideas. I would appreciate thoughts about what I could add and levels to take.
