Guest guest
Well, we do have the convienence of having our favorite fruits and veggies available year round, however we've lost much of the nutrition from them because of them being picked early, sprayed with chemicals etc... I confess I do enjoy having bananas available all the time, something that wouldn't have been as likely 100 years ago. How did we ever existed say hundred years ago, when all the things in our lives were natural? And there was no need for petrochemicals. I wish we could go back to those days... Barbara Isn't it shocking? The more I learn, the more I look at everything around me differently. Cyndi
Guest guest
Well, I can see your side too. And I too am disgusted with our tasteless and nutrientless fruit. But I can see how much our everyday life is easier today than it was 100 year ago even though we are paying a great price for that easy life. Guest guest
Hola again- Your talk has reminded me of things which I have forgotten! Let me tell you this story- When I was forteen and in military school, my family decided that since the school was much closer to my grandmother's than to my home which was at the end of the state, I could live with her, my grandmother, I had a bus pick me up at 6:30am and bring me back at 5:30pm. When I got out of the bus, infront of the house, my grandmother was on a big rocking chair in the front porch eating her daily apple! Those were good days! Thank you- LuisBarbara <barbara3 wrote: LOL....I guess they believed in that saying that an apple a day keeps a doctor away.... Barbara OK !
