I understand completely, Ellen! The important thing is, you are educating yourself NOW, and you can incorporate things you wish LATER, as you are able. None of us eats the "ideal" diet-and "ideal" IS different for each of us.

I am so envious you can raise your own eggs! You would not believe (well, you probably would, lol) how hard it is to find "good" eggs. All commercial egg producers, and even organic farms, feed their chickens the commercial soy-based feed available. I am having such a hard time finding people who actually give their chickens greens, scraps, let them graze for bugs, etc. Chickens need to consume protein for good eggs, so organic flaxseed is an excellent alternative to soy, but there is just not enough of a reliable supply for organic chicken growers (?) to make the switch.

I want chickens! LOL. :-)Cyndi

Thanks Cyndi. Once we have a bit more disposable income, I want to start getting raw milk with cream but for now I have to wait ;(

LOL you know it's funny. Years ago when I worked FT, I had the $$ to do all this stuff and had no interest in it at all. Now I have the interest & no $$!

I hate waiting. I have a HUGE list of things that I want but cannot get because we cannot afford it. I just keep trying to raise the $$ and have patience.
