Guest guest
I talked to Roman this AM about the fabric softener thing since he's so big on the dryer sheets. I was a little worried that he would think I was over-reacting, but he was as horrified as I was and agreed to switch to Seventh Generation ASAP. Speaking of toxic fabric softeners, look what I found on frugal tip site. What they are suggesting is that you use this toxic stuff on your children's hair (OMG!) and to dust your furniture with it (think of all those toxic chemicals being rubbed EVERYWHERE in your house!) carry it in your pocket and clean caked up grime off of stovetop rings. Hello? Anything that is caustic enough to clean grime off of MY stovetop rings doesn't belong in my hair and on my furniture, let alone in my laundry, LOL! Subscriber TipThe suggestion was given to me to keep a dryer sheet in yourpocket to remove static from you hair or your children's hairduring the winter. The dryer sheets really work on baked on food or stove toprings to take the caked up grease and grime off. I just soak thepan or stovetop rings over night and everything comes off reallyeasy.I line my oven and rings on my stove with aluminum foil thatway spills can be cleaned up fast. The dryer sheets really do a great job when it is dusting timeand for picking up cat hair off furniture. Just don't use themon glass tables when you dust. It is really hard to get the filmoff once you have rubbed the table with the dryer sheet. Ellen, thanks again for this info. I've done a pretty good job in eliminating commercial cleaning products from my home but for some reason, never thought about the dryer sheets... --Cee--
